Le Cimetière du Bourg

WHERE: in Guido Rey street.
HISTORY: Located in the ancient part of the town, this small monumental cemetery holds the remains of the main characters of the city, starting from the first half of the nineteenth century until the first decades of the twentieth. The burial area was inaugurated on November 3, 1782. At the center of the cemetery stands the neo-Gothic chapel of the Earls Crotti Costigliole, dating back to the mid-nineteenth century, dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. The Earls have also opted for the construction of a family tomb. In the autumn of 2013, on the occasion of All Saints, thanks to the association "Amis du Cimetière du Bourg" the cemetery was re-opened and it has given rise to an agreement with the City of Aosta that will last almost ten years for use and care of the area.
TIME: The cemetery is openfrom march to november, each Monday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.
