Last update: 15 February 2023, 11:48
WHERE: in the Consolata region.
HISTORY: Discovered during the construction of a building, the villa, rustic-rural, dates back to the late Republican period. The structure, in which are visible remains of mosaic flooring and the traces of a heating system, is composed of a series of rooms, including a home spa system very similar to public ones. The villa was built outside the city walls, in an area characterized by significant traces of human presence prior to the founding of Augusta Praetoria, next to a sub-hilly branch of the ancient road to the Great St. Bernard Pass.
