WHERE: in Tour du Pailleron street, at the crossroads with Ollietti street.
HISTORY: among the Roman towers is one of those that has best preserved the original design. It owes its name to its use, in ancient times, as an haystack. Following a fire in 1894, a restoration project was implemented (managed by the superintendent Alfredo D'Andrade), in which the missing parts were replaced with red bricks, to highlight what remained of the Roman Empire era structure.
