WHERE: inside the archaeological area of the Roman Theatre (also accessible from Tollen street, at the crossroads with Antica Zecca street).
HISTORY: The tower was built around the XI-XII century, it’s located along the Roman city walls, and owes its name to the small-noble family "Casei" or "Fromage", existing since at least 1125. Today, after being the subject of restoration, is owned by the Regional Administration, who has hosted there a number of exhibitions. Among the works on show over the years, the famous self-portrait of Leonardo da Vinci is included. Currently, the tower is not open to the public.
